For bent grass, we recommend 0.1 lbs of Nitrogen / 1000 ft2 applied every 7-10 days. Turf Foundation TM 10-3-5 & Greater Green 5-0-7 weighs 10lbs/gallon. To deliver 0.1 lbs of N per 1000 ft2, apply 12.8 oz of Progressive Turf, special 10-3-5 per 1000 ft2. At the 0.1 lb/1000 ft2 rate, a 5 gallon container of Turf Foundation TM 10-3-5 & Greater Green 5-0-7 will fertilize 50,000 ft2 of greens and tees. To deliver 0.1 lbs of N/1000 ft2 from a tank mix, simply determine the square feet that the tank will cover, divide that value by 1000 and multiply by 12.8. This value indicates the number of ounces of Turf Foundation TM 10-3-5 & Greater Green 5-0-7 to mix into the fertilizer tank. |

On bent grass field trials in the greater Atlanta area, application rates have varied from 8 oz to 12 oz / 1000 ft2 applied as a weekly foliar spray. Rates varied depending upon the plants seasonal nutritional requirements. Curative applications to bent grass greens have been applied at rates up to 20 oz / 1000 ft2 with good success and customer field testing of higher rates of Turf Foundation TM 10-3-5 & Greater Green 5-0-7 have indicated no damage to bent grass at the 60 oz rate even at high air temperatures. |
