Turf Foundation™ 10-3-5
Progressive Turf Turf Foundation™ 10-3-5 is highly concentrated and with proper injector systems can be applied directly from the container. |
The recommended feed rate for Turf Foundation™ 10-3-5 is 0.10 lb. of actual nitrogen per 1000 sq. ft. of turf per application, applied every 7-10 days. Turf Foundation™ 10-3-5 weighs 10 lbs. per gallon. For 0.10 lb. of N per 1000 sq. ft., apply 12.8 fluid ounces of Progressive Turf per 1000 sq. ft. A 5 gallon container of Turf Foundation™ 10-3-5 will feed 50,000 sq. ft. of turf. |
Calculations for tank mixing, or sprinkler systems and fertigation using injectors or proportioners, will vary depending upon the amount of water applied to the area. |
Once you know the amount of water being applied by your equipment, it is just a simple calculation. For tank mixing determine the square feet the tank will cover, divide that by 1,000 and multiply that number by 12.8 fluid ounces, to determine the amount of Turf Foundation™ 10-3-5 to mix in your fertilizer tank. For use with sprinkler systems, or fertigation with a proportioner or injector, please refer to the Injector Ratio Chart. |
The basis for Turf Foundation™ 10-3-5 is the nutrient and organic compound package extracted from oilseeds, thus providing a safe and environmentally friendly plant food for your turf. |
Turf Foundation™ 10-3-5 is non-toxic non-staining and will not burn if used according to recommendations. Rates may vary depending upon the plants seasonal nutritional requirements. For curative application, a feed rate of 20 oz. per 1,000 sq. ft. can be applied. A single 16 oz. per 1,000 sq. ft. is suggested as a "recovery rate" for greens stressed from heavy tournament play, etc. Turf Foundation™ 10-3-5 is an excellent foliar feed and is especially beneficial for nutrient uptake in cool weather and/or when soil is too wet for normal irrigation. When applying Turf Foundation™ 10-3-5 through an injector or proportioner, it is easier to determine the ratio of fertilizer to water in parts per million of nitrogen vs. pounds per sq. ft. |
For weekly irrigation feeding, a rate of 300 to 400 ppm N is recommended. For foliar feed and/or occasional feedings of once every 4 to 6 weeks or to address a specific nutrition deficiency, Turf Foundation™ 10-3-5 can be applied at rates up to 900 ppm. The Injector Ratio Chart is based upon ppm of N to be applied. |
