Progressive Turf
Turf Foundation™ 10-3-5
Our base or foundation fertilizer of our product line that delivers a tighter, denser turf with vigor. 10-3-5 provides primary plant nutrients for balanced growth. Turf Foundation™ is great for ball mark recover, excellent for turf stress relief under extreme conditions, and beneficial to use during aerification for a quicker healing time.

After trialing Turf Foundation ™ 10-3-5, a universal comment by golf course superintendents is that use of this fertilizer improved turf health and vitality without stimulating rapid vertical growth. (See density test results from University of Florida, under R & D.) |

Regular use of Turf Foundation ™ 10-3-5, will improve turf root systems and thus improve the ability of turf to more efficiently absorb nutrients. Improving general plant health and vigor will decrease the need for chemical and other nutrient additives. (See root mass increase under R & D University of Florida research report.)
Turf Foundation ™ 10-3-5, has been used to rescue declining or damaged turf. In one situation, a public golf course had to close their front nine because the bent grass was dying very rapidly from an unknown cause. After application of Turf Foundation™ 10-3-5, the greens made a profound and rapid recovery and the front nine was reopened three weeks after the initial application. We believe that the organic seed extract detoxified the causal agent in the soil. Similar situations have been reported at other locations/greens, with similar positive results. As a liquid, Turf Foundation ™ 10-3-5 mixes easily in spray equipment tanks. All you do is pour it into the appropriate amount of water, and you have a clean solution with no precipitants. |

Safety - there are no "critical factors" to worry about. The basis for Turf Foundation ™ 10-3-5 is derived from soybean seed oil extract. This organic material contains a multiplicity of vitamins, which the seed uses for germination, development and growth. The properties of this extract provide a unique and special package of nutrients to the turf. |

Progressive Turf fertilizers are low in salts and contain 40% less soluble salts than similar rates of inorganic water-soluble fertilizers. |

Turf Foundation™ 10-3-5 is compatible with fungicides, growth regulators and other water-soluble nutrients. Of course, we always recommend testing an application of any combination of products on a small scale to begin with. Interestingly, over time, most Turf Foundation ™ 10-3-5 users find that they can reduce applications of many of these other chemicals. Healthy plants are less susceptible to fungal infections. Turf Foundation™ 10-3-5 does not promote rapid vertical growth of turf; therefore, dependency on growth regulators may be reduced. In many cases, Turf Foundation™ 10-3-5 fertilizer can completely replace other water solubles; however, we encourage you to make fertility management decisions based upon frequent soil and tissue analysis.
